The goal of this glossary is to present and discuss psychological concepts in plain language and in the context of daily experience. I’m not trying to create a dictionary so much as share complex ideas in a way that makes sense to people who don’t have advanced degrees in psychology and philosophy.

There are places where my views will differ from text-book definitions, and while I will do my best to point these out and explain why I view things differently, I would also encourage you to read other sources and compare/contrast the various views for yourself.
